ESG is seriously lacking structure. This may not be ground-breaking news, but frustrations are not tempering any time soon. In the real estate sector specifically, a place where scrutiny is feverishly increasing, there is a real lack of consensus as to what an ESG integrated portfolio actually looks like. Sustainability strategies are stagnating, targets are not being met and there’s no uniformed approach to benchmarking as everyone is doing their own thing.
