Enlighted’s new office is in the Catalyst Building, a hub for Waterloo’s tech community. The Enlighted team will focus on the development of innovative smart building IoT sensors, data and software applications that enable customer productivity and real progress towards customers’ net carbon zero sustainability goals. The new office is designed to spark collaboration and innovation with a higher percentage of collaboration spaces and meeting rooms relative to other types of space.

Enlighted has operated in Canada since 2019 and has grown to over 30 employees. The majority of employees will be based out of the Catalyst Building. The company has also developed strong ties with the University of Waterloo, one of Canada’s best universities for computer science and engineering. Since starting operations in Canada, Enlighted has worked with over 70 students from the university’s co-op internship program, hiring many as full-time employees. The office design and technology address the new requirements for hybrid work and uses Enlighted’s products to inform employees when is the best time to come to the office for collaboration and innovation.

Henry Winfield, an Amrock client based in Virginia, used the mobile technology earlier this year to close on a refinance while in North Carolina for work. The new feature enabled both he and his wife to video chat with the notary and digitally sign all necessary documents quickly and safely.

Amrock's mobile closing capability is part of the Rocket Platform through which clients can search for a home with Rocket Homes, get a home loan from Rocket Mortgage, eClose on their mortgage through Amrock via Remote Online Notarization (RON), In-Person Electronic Notarization (IPEN) or a Hybrid eClosing, and now, can close on their mortgage completely from a smart phone. Clients that prefer to keep some elements of their home loan journey non-electronic can still choose to do so.

StepStone Real Estate, the real estate arm of private markets investment firm StepStone Group Inc., has made a significant strategic equity investment in Anchor Health Properties (Anchor), a best-in-class owner, manager, and developer of healthcare real estate across the United States. The investment was made through a separate account managed by SRE on behalf of a large international pension fund client. As of June 30, 2022, SRE oversaw US$168 billion in global real estate capital allocations for its limited partners and clients. Anchor intends to utilize the investment to fund future platform growth, as well as to enhance its balance sheet and credit reserves. Anchor Health Properties continues to be the majority owner and managing member of the operating platform.
