U.S. housing prices recorded their slowest growth in four years during 2018, signaling that this year may be a trying time for the real estate industry. The S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller National Home Price Index, which tracks average home prices in cities across the country, rose 4.7 percent by the end of December, down from 6 percent the previous year the slowest growth margin since 2014, according to The Wall Street Journal.
