CAMBA Debuts $100M Brooklyn Affordable Housing

CAMBA Housing Ventures and CAMBA have opened CAMBA Gardens Phase II, an affordable housing community in Brooklyn’s Wingate section. This project is the continuation of CAMBA Gardens Phase I, which was completed in October 2013. Located on the campus of NYC Health + Hospitals’ Kings County Campus, the $100 million CAMBA Gardens Phase II comprises 293 studio and one-, two- and three-bedroom floorplans. Of the total units, 110 are designated for families and individuals making less than 60 percent of the area median income, while 182 are reserved for those who were formerly homeless. Interior apartment features include full kitchens and baths, ceiling fans, wood flooring, durable finishes, air conditioning and solid-surface countertops and windowsills. Residents have access to amenities such as recreational green space, computer room, community gardens, laundry facilities and community rooms for civic groups, Community Board and KCHC hospital meetings.
