FHFA: Home prices increase 0.3% in August

Home prices rose in August, inching forward 0.3% from July according to the latest monthly House Price Index from the Federal Housing Finance Agency. The FHFA monthly HPI is calculated using home sales price information from mortgages sold to or guaranteed by, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. Because of this, the selection excludes high-end homes bought with jumbo loans or cash sales.

Team Title Services, owned by Web Raulston and based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, handles the title and settlement services. McDonald is a Key Advisor at Mortgage Token, which aims to be the first company that allows clients to leverage their home equity to invest in cryptocurrency. "I'm a firm believer that with digital assets such as NFTs, entire industries will benefit from being built on the Ethereum blockchain by increasing consumer transparency and transaction cost-effectiveness," home seller McDonald said. McDonald explained that blockchain, like the internet, is the new "great equalizer" and that "Web3 will level the playing field, making information and pricing inequalities a thing of the past." We look forward to launching before the fourth quarter of 2022 as the first lender specifically investing in cryptocurrency." HomeJab receives 1% on the NFT sale, with the proceeds distributed to the title company who then facilitates the closing and recording of deed. The seller and buyer agent commissions would be part of the settlement statement, like any other traditional transaction.
