Walker & Dunlop, Inc. announced the fourth installment of its "What Drives You" campaign. Launched on November 12, 2019, the campaign features some of Walker & Dunlop's inspiring clients through spotlights that highlight the passion, perseverance, and inner drive that fuels each of them in their pursuit of greatness.
This latest installment of the campaign features Mark Hafner, founder and CEO of the $1 billion commercial real estate firm HASTA Capital. HASTA Capital focuses on investing, developing, and managing residential multifamily assets that are "purpose built," or designed to be inclusive communities of all renters.
Founded in 2017, HASTA now has developments and properties in four countries. Hafner attributes the company's rapid growth to an attention to detail, a willingness to try new things, and a commitment to continuously improving the customer experience. For example, Hafner and his family try to spend a week living at each property to see what's missing that residents might need and appreciate, like a bench at a dog park.
Hafner also cites the company's partnership with Walker & Dunlop, which financed HASTA's very first deal and nearly 100% of its deals since then and has been with HASTA every step of the way.

San Francisco-based real estate investment firm Hamilton Zanze is pleased to announce the sale of Miro at the Parc apartment community located in the desirable Henderson/Green Valley submarket of Las Vegas, Nevada. The firm purchased the property in 2014 and the sale closed on May 25, 2022. Newmark's Doug Schuster represented the sellers at acquisition and disposition.
During their ownership, Hamilton Zanze completed numerous exterior and landscaping improvements, and several amenity upgrades as well.

Miro at the Parc was built in 2013 and is located at 1651 American Pacific Drive in Henderson. The property comprises 164 one- and two-bedroom units averaging 1,043 square feet. The community has a 5,000-square-foot clubhouse with TV rooms, pool tables, shuffleboard, arcade games, and a 24-hour fitness center. The property also has a pool with a beach area, fire pits, showers, and an infinity hot tub.
Miro at the Parc is in the Henderson/Green Valley submarket of the Las Vegas metro area, one of the most affluent submarkets in the market. The property is conveniently located close to two major freeways, I-515 and I-215, which provide easy access to downtown Las Vegas. Additionally, the property is located just a 20-minute drive west of the Las Vegas Strip, which provides entertainment, shopping, and dining for residents.

American Real Estate Partners (“AREP”), and its Joint Venture partner Machine Investment Group (MIG) today announced the company’s latest investment in the logistics & distribution market, a 1,015,740 square foot industrial property located in Middletown, Delaware. This is AREP’s sixth investment through its Strategic Opportunity Fund III (“Fund III”) and is now 60 % deployed.
The New Castle County industrial submarket has experienced meaningful growth, with the newly developed Route 301 Bypass transforming the ease of access to Middletown from Interstate 95. The current lack of easily accessible properties in Southern Jersey, Northern Delaware, and Eastern Pennsylvania has pushed tenants to seek strong alternate locations, the Middletown area is a premier example of this.

In June, AREP announced the closing of Fund III with $63 million in equity commitments expanding on the diverse mix of public and private institutional investors and family offices. Fund III will continue AREP’s focus on a value-add and opportunistic strategy, concentrating on data center, residential, industrial, and office assets in East Coast urban and urbanized suburban markets. Fund III’s co-investment capital is targeted to invest in $1.5 B to $2.0 B of total asset value, utilizing moderate financial leverage.
