Prime country property market in Scotland sees sales rise despite Brexit

The prime country property market in Scotland has continued to defy expectations and has not been affected by Brexit uncertainty, new research suggests. Sales in the third quarter of the sector in 2018 increased by 10% compared with the same period in 2017 while residential farm sales increased by 5.67%, year on year, according to the latest report from property consultants Galbraith. It was a particularly strong market in Aberdeenshire where sales increased by 100% and also in Stirlingshire where they also increased by 100%, while sales were up by 55% in Moray and by 33% in Perthshire.
